Something curious happened yesterday after we sent out our ideas with stocks that could offer outsized upside potential.
What happened?
By now, everybody knows that our ideas have been spot-on this year. We turned to mega-bullish Bitcoin a year ago due to the mid-halving low and favorable macro environment. We spiced up our bullish Bitcoin idea (YTD +126%) with GBTC (+263%) and Solana (+510%) among our top picks for 2023.
We were the only ones expecting Grayscale’s Bitcoin Trust GBTC to see $4bn of locked value being re-evaluated. Since then, the discount has narrowed from -48% to just -11%, which seems fair. GBTC holders have made a killing.
